Scholarships

Expanding Wyoming’s construction industry workforce through promoting careers in skilled trades and construction related careers through furthering the education of outstanding individuals pursuing education and/or training in construction related fields.


Available for students and teachers

At least one $500 per semester scholarship shall be awarded to an outstanding individual who is, or will be, actively enrolled in a skilled trade program directly related to the building construction industry (i.e. Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, Carpentry, Electrical Apprenticeship, etc.). More than one scholarship may be awarded depending on availability of funds. Scholarship winner(s) must enroll in a program at a Wyoming accredited college, university, trade school, or apprenticeship recognized and authorized by the State of Wyoming. The scholarship may be used to defray tuition, supplies, room and board, or other college, university, trade school or program expense.

Selection Criteria

  • Individuals who submit complete application packet and meet eligibility requirements may be selected to interview with the WCC Scholarship Selection Committee.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate ability to describe educational goals and outline plans for working in Wyoming’s construction industry. Individuals who submit complete application packet and meet eligibility requirements may be selected to interview with the WCC Scholarship Selection Committee.


Awards

Winners will be notified via e-mail

  • The Scholarship Selection Committee will select scholarship recipients based upon scholarship application and interview (if needed).
  • Scholarship winner(s) will provide WCC with official verification of enrollment in education or training program.
  • Upon receipt of official written verification of enrollment/participation from scholarship winner(s), the scholarship payment will be sent. The Scholarship Selection Committee will select scholarship recipients based upon scholarship application and interview (if needed).
  • Scholarship winner(s) will provide WCC with official verification of enrollment in education or training program.
